The Jewish Center for Justice is excited to announce that we will be welcoming two new board members to start 2021. Ellie Caple and Heather Lazarus have contributed mightily to our justice work over the past year, and we are thrilled to add them to our growing team and community.

Ellie Caple

Ellie brings diverse and high-level experience in crisis management, communications, and public policy to her work as an Account Director at Sunshine Sachs. Prior to joining the firm, Ellie served as senior staff on the Kamala Harris presidential campaign and was the youngest member of the senior team.

As the first person hired at headquarters, Ellie was responsible for coordinating the campaign’s launch, and subsequently managed a nationwide department as Director of Scheduling and Strategic Planning. Before that, she worked as Senior Associate for SCRB Strategies, running state and federal campaigns in California and consulting for private sector clients. She has also worked for Kamala Harris’ 2016 Senate race, FWD.us, the Center for American Progress, and for major campaigns and elected officials in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Ellie graduated with honors from Tufts University with a B.A. in Peace and Justice Studies, with a concentration in Media and Public Policy. JCJ members may remember that Ellie was a featured speaker in JCJ’s Fall Change Maker Series in 2020.
