What is JCJ advocating for?
SB 1023 would:
- Reduce insurance barriers. Patients may face fewer administrative obstacles, such as prior authorization or “step therapy,” before getting certain HIV-prevention medications.
- Improve access to injectable PrEP. Injectable PrEP can be taken less frequently than daily pills, which may be a better option for some people.
