Fight antisemitism, confront hate in all its forms, promote education and understanding, and ensure every Jewish person can live safely and proudly
Join us as we mobilize Jewish communities and pro-democracy people of faith to fight antisemitism and anti-Jewish hate.
What’s the injustice?
Jewish communities around the world continue to face rising hatred, discrimination, and violence — fueled by misinformation, conspiracy theories, and denial of Jewish identity and safety.
Freedom of religion and equality under the law are cornerstones of our democracy — promises that every person can live without fear because of who they are or what they believe. Yet, for Jewish Americans, that promise remains fragile. In the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, antisemitism surged to its highest levels in decades, manifesting through harassment on college campuses, vandalism of synagogues, hate speech online, and violent attacks in public spaces. The ADL has reported record numbers of antisemitic incidents, with Jewish Americans (less than 3% of the U.S. population) experiencing a disproportionate share of religiously motivated hate crimes.
These trends represent not only prejudice against Jews but a broader erosion of democratic values. Antisemitism thrives in an environment of misinformation, conspiracy theories, and polarization, often weaponized to divide communities and distract from systemic injustices. For Jewish Americans, it means living with heightened vigilance: questioning safety at worship, school, or public gatherings; hesitating to express visible Jewish identity; and confronting hostility in spaces that once felt secure. Until we confront antisemitism as both a social and moral crisis, the promise of equal dignity and freedom remains incomplete.
What we believe
Antisemitism remains active and dangerous in America, demanding a united response from the Jewish community and our interfaith partners.
At the Jewish Center for Justice, we work alongside organizations like Partnership for Growth LA to stand against hate and strengthen solidarity across communities. Through education, advocacy, and our social media presence, JCJ continues to elevate Jewish voices, support Israel, and confront antisemitism wherever it appears. JCJ supports education initiatives and legislation that combat antisemitism, including the recently-passed AB 715 (Educational equity: discrimination: antisemitism prevention) and SB 472 (Pupil instruction: Holocaust and genocide education: notice, survey, and grant program).
