In response to Israel’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities on June 12, the Jewish Center for Justice released the following statement:

Israel’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities was not unprovoked.

Iran has spent years funding and arming Israel’s enemies—Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen—while ignoring the needs of its own people and its responsibility to the global community. Instead, it has chosen to be the self-appointed “enemy-in-chief” of the Jewish people.

Despite years of sanctions and international warnings, Iran has continued to enrich uranium with the goal of targeting Israel. Last night, Israel acted—because it had to.

Israel’s actions have pushed back Iran’s capabilities, making Israel—and the rest of the world—safer.
