Following the Senate confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court, the Jewish Center for Justice has issued the following statement:
The Jewish Center for Justice celebrates the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court. Judge Jackson’s impeccable credentials, including her years as a public defender, trial judge, and Supreme Court clerk, along with her demonstrated record on criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, and individual civil rights, exceeds the standards and criteria for selecting a fair and impartial jurist. We also applaud this confirmation as a critical step forward for inclusion in a nation that’s growing increasingly more diverse.
