JCJ Fellows responded to the horrific anti-LGBTQ bills going through the Texas and Florida State Legislatures by compiling a list of orgs to help provide legal, emotional, and financial resources for LGBTQ youth and their families.


  • The Transgender Education Network of Texas is a non-profit fighting for equality for transgender students / youth. Contact: info@transtexas.org
  • Equality Texas is another organization that is fighting for equality for LGBTQ+ people and youth in Texas. It is both a political advocacy nonprofit and an advocacy foundation. Contact: Info@EqualityTexas.org
  • The Dallas Hope Center is the only homeless shelter for LGBTQ individuals in Dallas, and is run by The Dallas Hope Center Charities. Contact: hope@dallashopecharities.org

  • The Orlando Youth Alliance is a support group for LGBTQ+ teens in Orlando. Contact: info@orlandoyouthalliance.org
  • The Zebra Coalition provides economic and mental health support to LGBTQ+ youth. Contact: info@zebrayouth.org
