Sen. Dianne Feinstein (CA)
Sen. Feinstein has been a prominent figurehead in the effort to tackle the issue of gun safety. In 1978, Sen. Feinstein was serving as President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors when San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk were both assassinated by a fellow supervisor. Her firsthand experience watching a colleague die from gun violence, as well as the tragic shooting at a San Francisco law office in 1993, led her to write and champion the passage of the Assault Weapons Ban.

I am contacting you today to ask Senator Feinstein to support and cosponsor S.42, the Background Check Expansion Act, and S. 66, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019. Additionally, S. 66 would make it a crime to sell military-grade semi-automatic weapons to the public. If you could pass this message along to the Senator, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
