I want to thank you for your continued support of gun violence prevention legislation as you diligently work to keep our community and country safe. As a Jewish community, we are guided by the ancient teaching that to destroy a life is to destroy an entire world; just as to save a life is to save an entire world. Such a mandate inspires us to engage in gun violence prevention activism and work to find common sense solutions to this very important issue.
Together we look forward to working with you to pass HR8, The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019. As we commemorate the one-year anniversary of the horrific Parkland shooting, we think of the innocent souls who lost their lives and the inspiring activism of their classmates in the days, weeks and months that followed.
